Let us dwell
With the gods
Upon their throne
Of Mount Olympus.
Let us watch
Clouds break against
Summits like oceans
Upon bouldered shores.
Let us find
Fables in darkness
Between points of
Billion-year light.
Let us ascend,
Our thoughts entangled
With the universe
And its awe.
Today, the Earth
Bloomed for two,
Morning rays unfolding
As celestial petals.
We walk together
Among tall grass,
Impressing soil with
Dew-stained boots.
No souls but
Ours have tread
This verdant meadow,
This mountain cathedral.
Clasp your hand
With mine, let’s
Wear our trail
Two by two.
