My friend Gabi’s been taking an AMAZING driving tour of Montana, Washington, Oregon, California and who knows where else (she’s still on the trip). From the Olympic Peninsula to Tillamook Creamery to Newport in Oregon, they’re all places I’ve passed through myself at one time or another. Our conversation spurred me to dig through the archives and relive some of those old memories. These are a few shots from my time around Hidden Beach that I never posted before.
It’s an amazing place. Isolated, but full of the ocean’s roar and the power of the Pacific. Seeing waves crash into massive trees and moving them like driftwood is awe-inducing.
I sat on that beach for hours trying to burn the feeling into my senses. Closing my eyes, I can remember some of it, but there’s really no way to truly recall the exact feeling.
