I was fortunate to see the venerable monks of Walk for Peace when they passed through Richmond, Virginia this week. We even got to walk with them from their lunch stop all the way to Richmond’s town hall! The monks were then presented with a proclamation from our new governor, Abigail Spanberger, and Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara spoke and led a meditation.
In this chaotic world, living in a country beset with turbulence, the day was a reminder of humanity’s better nature and the hope we can have for our species as a whole.
